The task for Relay Point was to create a new solutions for the on demand transportation industry built on the backbone of blockchain technology. We had to create an application that provided security and accountability for Promoters, Drivers, and Business. An app that would provided each user with the tools they needed to to operate business in the fast paced transportation industry.
In the design phase of relay point the challenge was to create a UX that provided the necessary tools for 3 different identities within the app. With tools for drivers, promoters, and business we where tasked with creating a visually appealing look and feel that complimented the Relay Point brand. We dissected all existing transportation on demand application to provide a unique process for each users of the app to have a seamless relay of their passenger to their requested destination. In this portion of the project it required an understanding of how the relay point application will work in the real world. So we spent time on ride alongs with drivers to see how they picked up and dropped off rides. We spent time with promoters and experienced how they collect rides and communicate with drivers for pick ups and receive payments. But one of the largest challenges was how business could benefit from using the Relay Point App to increase traffic into their locations with real time promotions and incentives. With tools for history of drops from promoters, and drivers we injecting a safe and secure payment system on top of blockchain technology.
RELAY POINT APLICATION USERS JOURNEY
The Relay Point application was designed to improve the core operations of the on demand transportation market in conjunction with business promotions. In the design phase we where tasked with establishing a process with a range of tools and accountability for the various user profiles within the Relay Point application. With the difficult task of accommodating multiple experience with in the design for the different types of users we broken down the tools to have similarities in look and feel with color and style but defined the over all dashboard to be tool specific to the user type.
In the development portion of the project we had selected to collaborate with mobile development team with a history in transportation technologies to provided the application with the best possible execution. We then provided the team with all visual frontend graphic, function specks, and necessary assets for mobile development. We then went on to develop the marketing materials, social media graphics, and corporate graphics needed to assist in the public offering portion of the project. As the team took all corporate decks and materials we began developing a social media strategy and determined the various KPIs that where needed to help drive the attention of promoters, drivers, and investors.
Once a functioning application was delivered back for testing, we began the destroy portion of the project. We decided to user test the application with various locations throughout Las Vegas one of the entertainment capitals of the world. We started to cross check the tools and functionality in action and verified that all was working as intended. We provided various micro adjustments and updates to work out any issue within the application in real time. As we continued on the public offering rise we began researching the data and making necessary adjustments to the social marketing and message to grow the content based on what the data proved was sticky and providing the best conversions.
Once we where able to complete the adjustments, we obtained approval for the application placement on the Google Play and IOS Apple Store. With the app available for download, the task then became creating the corporate package materials and presentation materials for the Relay Point team to continue with their public offering raise.
